TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Promotion is offered to residents of South Australia. Employees and their immediate families, agents, committee members and operations managers of the Promoter are ineligible. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. The Promoter reserves the right at any time to verify the validity of entries/claims and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry/claims process or who submits an entry/claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. Promotion commences on 14/12/23 and ends on 03/01/24 or when stocks of WONKA bars are exhausted, whichever is first to occur (“Promotional Period”). Instant win claims must be received by last mail on 04/01/24.
5. How to Enter: Purchase 1 WONKA competition branded chocolate bar from the Semaphore Odeon Star candy bar.
6. Once the WONKA competition branded chocolate bar has been purchased, the bar must be opened for the chance to contain a GOLDEN TICKET. If the WONKA competition branded chocolate bar contains a GOLDEN TICKET the prize will be clearly stated.
7. Instant win prize claims can be made by exchanging the winning GOLDEN TICKET at the Semaphore Odeon Star Ticket Box or Candy Bar for the prize stated on the GOLDEN TICKET. The GOLDEN TICKET must be exchanged by close of business on 04/01/24.
8. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) the purchase of 1 WONKA competition branded chocolate bar is equal to ONE entry.
9. Grand Prize: ONE ‘Odeon Star Gold Card’ which entitles the holder to 1 complimentary movie ticket per day from the 1st January 2024 up to and including the 31st December 2024. The ‘Odeon Star Gold Card’ is valid for all regular movie showings at the regular price of $10.00. The ‘Odeon Star Gold Card’ is not valid for movies advertised as ‘Special Events’ or ‘Film Festivals’ held at the Semaphore Odeon Star Cinema. Total Value of $3260.00
10. Runner up Prizes:
(a) FIFTEEN individual prizes of ONE Large Popcorn from the Semaphore Odeon Star Candy Bar. Total Value of $150.00
(b) FIFTEEN individual prizes of ONE Choc-Top from the Semaphore Odeon Star Candy Bar. Total Value of $90.00
(c) TWENTY individual prizes of ONE Single Gift Vouchers valid for the Semaphore Odeon Star Cinema. Total Value of $200.00
11. Total potential prize pool is $4100.00. Prizes, offers or any unused portion of a prize or offer are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless otherwise specified.
12. Any costs in excess of the value of the prizes, including GST, and all ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prizes are the responsibility of the winner. The Promoter shall not be liable for any prize that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
13. If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
14. Promoters’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; and (f) use of a prize.
16. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
17. Entrants must retain their ‘GOLDEN TICKET’ for verification purposes to be eligible to claim any prize. Instant prize winners must exchange their original scratch ‘GOLDEN TICKET’ to the Promoter (as requested) to claim an instant win prize. The Promoter reserves the right to conduct security verification checks at their absolute discretion.
18. Instant win game materials are rendered void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way, or if the “GOLDEN TICKET’ fails the Promoter’s validation test. Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions all prize claims in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured. Printing and other quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. There will be a total of 51 instant win ‘GOLDEN TICKET’ printed for this promotion.
19. The Promoter will not collect any personal information if requested by the winner.
20. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (incl. photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without further remuneration or reference for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
